Celebrating Excellence In Care Swirl

The Norfolk Care Awards were awarded on Thursday 13th February 2014 where we saw the ‘best of the best’ receive recognition for the hard work and dedication they demonstrate day in, day out, while delivering care and support to the people of Norfolk.

Norman Lamb, the Minister for Care and Support and David Prior Chair of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) attended and spoke passionately about the ground breaking work in the delivery of adult social care in Norfolk.

It was a night to remember; a fantastic way of recognising and celebrating excellence in adult social care across Norfolk

The event opened by Harold Bodmer, Director of Community Services who shared his great excitement about opening the first Norfolk Care Awards. Harold explained he knows that there are excellent care and support services delivered across Norfolk and the evening was all about recognising and celebrating success.

The champagne reception sponsored by University of East Anglia (UEA) who were delighted to be part of such a fantastic Norfolk Celebration. Professor Jim Gazzard explained that there is an important link between learning and delivering excellence and that the UEA were delighted to play their part in supporting the social care workforce to deliver the best possible care and support to the people of Norfolk.

Helen Lederer, was the host for the evening, she bought her unique mix of humour and her knowledge of the care sector to the party which resulted in a very enjoyable evening for all.
